A red admiral butterfly flew around the kitchen - trying to kill itself on the halogen lights. It moved away and landed on my hand delicately fluttering, before I cast it to safety out of the window and into the stormy night.

The M6 was moving, and the man in the car behind me was brushing his teeth. He did it for several minutes. I was doing 75 and he overtook me in the fast lane, still brushing his teeth.

why do i have (your) key

I worked on a mental health ward. There were keys in the office drawer and in the drug cupboard. They were there for ages, and the numbers grew. I cleared out all the keys I could find in the office and locked them away. 2 years later no one had asked for any of the keys. Why did we have them? Why had people not needed them back? What happened? Did people go home? Did they go elsewhere? Did they have lots of spare keys?
